On Sunday 29th March at 7am, members of The Active Life Triathlon Club will dive into an extraordinary challenge: a 24-hour continuous swim relay, finishing at 7am on Monday 30th March.

We are doing this to raise vital funds for the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre, whose hydrotherapy pool urgently needs repairs. This pool is an essential part of rehabilitation for people living with neurological conditions. Without it, many patients would lose access to life-changing therapy.

As a triathlon club, we understand first-hand the power of water. Swimming supports physical recovery, mental wellbeing, confidence, and independence, values we deeply share with the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre. Their hydro pool is not a luxury; it is a lifeline.

We strongly connect with their mission and want to help ensure this incredible facility remains open and accessible for the people who rely on it most.

Our club is a diverse and supportive community of swimmers aged 18 to 70, male and female, ranging from recreational swimmers to GB age-group triathletes and national-level swimmers. Each will be taking on their own personal challenge to raise vital funds.

* Each swimmer will complete a minimum of 1 hour in the pool

* Some members are pushing themselves even further with multi-hour swims (3 hours and beyond!)

* Swimming will continue non-stop for 24 hours

This is our biggest event yet, with more participants, longer swims and greater personal challenges than ever before!

We are hugely grateful to Herons Leisure Centre, and especially the General Manager Karen Monticelli, who have generously donated pool time and arranged lifeguard cover overnight once the centre closes. Their support makes this challenge possible.

We are aiming to raise £5,000 to help keep the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre’s hydro pool afloat... quite literally.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your support will help ensure that people living with neurological conditions can continue to access the therapeutic benefits of water-based rehabilitation.

Thank you for supporting our swimmers, our club, and an incredibly important local charity!
